More Than Water

When you give clean water you give time, opportunity, education, and empowerment. When a community receives clean water, they are given the resources of health, hygiene, and time to create a more sustainable society. Thanks to you, more than 1,200 communities have transformed for the better! Thank you!

Clean Water Means

Time: It takes an average of 4-5 hours to find a water source, daily. (3-4 miles). With a well steps from home, people will gain back so much time.

Health: Finding water is difficult, and even when it is found it is ridden with disease. Access to Clean and Safe drinking water decreases child mortality by 50%.

Empowerment: Empower communities with the tools they need to create a sustainable society. Empower moms with healthy kids, and empower children with time for education.

Opportunity: With their new found time, families can focus on generating extra income, spending time together, or attending school.

Education: With parents focused on income, children are often tasked with gathering water, which means less time for school. With clean water steps from home, children can attend school without interruption.

Creating Sustainable Communities

Providing access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene support, will always be at the heart of Wells of Life. Our vision is to provide one million of the “poorest of the poor” with access to clean water, as well as our newly incorporated support for community and household sanitation and hygiene. When you give clean water you give time, opportunity, education, and empowerment. When a community receives clean water, they are given the resources of health, hygiene, and time to create a more sustainable society. Thanks to you, more than 1,200 communities have transformed for the better! Thank you!

Why Rural Uganda?

90% of Ugandans live in rural communities and nearly two-thirds of these communities lack access to safe water. Water borne diseases and infant mortality is a common theme for “the poorest of the poor,” or as it is known in the Public Health Care community, “the bottom billion.”

Like Isaiah proclaimed in a vision, “Here I am Lord.” Wells of Life feels the same about being there for the wonderful people inhabiting the most rural areas of Uganda. We have heeded the call to serve the most neglected and most needy

It is an honor to serve such incredible people!
