Ash Wednesday

In areas without access to clean water, people do not have the luxury of giving something up for lent. During this time of reflection, we ask that you consider what 40 days without access to water would be like for you. How would you shower? Brush your teeth? Where would you drink from? This is the reality that millions of people face, but after 40 days, they still will not have water. They will continue to walk hours everyday in search of muddy holes and infested ponds to gather from. Throughout your observance of lent, we would like to remind you of the small conveniences that we often take for granted, that others do not have the luxury of, even something as simple as clean water.
