Four years ago Eithne Keegan donated a Well honoring her mother and her daughter. Nora's Well was drilled in March 2013 and serves the needs of 1500 people daily. I chose to make this our Well of the week to remind Nora how special she is and how much her mother loves her. To dedicate a water well is an act of incredible generosity and love. That's who Eithne Keegan is to those fortunate enough to know her. It was Nora's birthday on Sunday June 25th and Wells of Life thought this would make for a nice birthday greeting. Happy birthday Nora from 1500 thankful people.
The Apingmoo well was completed on March 20th, 2013 and drilled by Fields of Life for Wells of Life. The Wells of Life well # is 76. The well is located in the Apingmoo Community, located in Oyam district in Northern Uganda where access to water is extremely limited. The nearest water source for this community was a protected spring which was over 1 mile away. This community has a total of 170 households with an average of 9 members per household and therefore this well will provide safe clean drinking water for more than 1,500 villagers. This well was graciously funded by Eithne Keegan of Foothill Ranch, California, for her Mother & her Daughter, both named Nora.
